I love it!!!!! I had so much fun working on each one of these cards. These were custom made for a friend. She’s going to send them to her mother in law as a birthday gift! Isn’t that awesome? I love receiving handmade items as gifts!!!

I like to pick out a stamp set, a paper patter, die cut shape or a just a color scheme and make several cards using what ever that is that I’m using. I’ll use the same stamp set but will have 10 different cards. You’ll see the same paper pattern, same color scheme, same flowers but different cards at the same time. I like to play with things and see how many different things I can come up with using one thing. What ever catches my eye!
A friend from Church asked me to make 2 cards for her Sunday School Class. She’s teaching teenage girls and they are sending a care package to the missionaries that their class supports. She asked for the cards to be as big as I can get them to be…. so I just folded a 81/2 x 11 page in 1/2 and ended up with a card size 8 1/2 x 5 1/2….. For the front I wanted to add something big and I thought I’d make these paper flowers. It’s been some time sense I’ve made them, but they are so easy to make and so much fun. My girls and I had fun rolling them. They each wanted a flower so they could put it on one of their own projects.

After I made these two cards I had to make couple more cards using these flowers and here is what I came up with!!! You can Click on the picture to make it bigger.

HA!!!! I prove them all wrong!!! LOL
I don’t know if we are watering too much or what. But I do know that we get the biggest mushrooms on the island… well at list I thing so and they sure look that way. I’m also sure that they are not eatable!!!! But non the less we have them in our front yard!!!!
I wattered our grass Thursday night and did NOT see any mushrooms there. But Friday morning as we were getting in the card to go to the beach I saw this…. Now, I know what mushrooms look like and this looks just like a mushroom to me. I say this only because people here have been telling me that there is NO WAY for Ewa Beach (town we live in) to have mushrooms! Why? Because we are in the dry part of the island. We get almost no rain here and it is always so HOT here!!!! So I took pictures to prove those people wrong and I’m LOVING it!!! Ha ha…

Yesterday I made 9 new headbands to add to our Etsy shop.
I had a lot of fun making these while the girls were watching a movie.
My little helper decided to give her self a hair cut couple of weeks ago, that’s why her hair is short in the front. She also cut some off in the back. I’m just glad that it doesn’t look all that bad and she didn’t just do in the middle of her head!! LOL But she did have an older sister that inspired her to do it, so she’s not entirely at fault!!!
Our headbands are $8.00 and I’ll be adding them to our Etsy shop later this evening.

Well, I LOVE making anything out of paper.
My mom has a green thumb, she can touch any plant and it’ll bloom like never before. She has the most beautiful garden at her house and when ever she comes to visit us our gardens blooms as well…. but only until the day she goes home!!! Because you see I have a brown thumb… and any plant I touch it starts to die. Just ask my husband.
But give me paper and I’ll make you a garden like never before. I love paper. For me there’s something special about touching and feeling paper while you work. Seeing things become alive in your hands it’s something special, for me anyways.
But there’s a lot more to it then just cutting paper. You can make your own paper and I love doing that. So last week after I finished one of my big projects I decided that I haven’t used my cricut just for fun in some time now and that I really wanted to stamps some of my own paper back grounds. So here is what I did…
I picked out some of my most used cricut cartridges.
And I cut out A LOT of different shapes using egg shell white card stock. The shapes turned out beautiful.
After that I started stamping the back grounds. Oh, this part is so much FUN! Lots of different colors, patters and shapes oh my!!!!! Here is what I had after stamping several shapes. I still have a lot left of shapes that I didn’t stamp on or touched at all.
I only made 23 cards and have so many more beautiful shapes to play with. So be on a look out for more cards!!!

WOW! I had no idea I had that many scraps. I gues they add up when you do one project after another. I got done with a big project this week and I thought I’d make some cards for fun but, first I had to clean up. I got all of my scraps together and started sorting them on the couch while the kids watched some TV. I think they were watching Leap Frog Math something, educational. I had to migrate to the dinner table because it got to messy. This is what my table looked like with my pile 1/2 done.
This is my trash pile. More trash scraps are in the bag that’s on the table.
I used this for my scraps for couple of years now. Somehow the scraps are out growing this bin. So I need to find something bigger or keep less scraps. I put all of my solid colors (by color) and some printed paper scraps in there. My bigger printed papers went in too another organizer. Sorry, I forgot to take a picture of that one. I decided to keep small peaces and big peaces separately. I can’t seem to find anything when I have big peaces in the same container with the small scraps. So far this works out great for me.
Phew, that was a big job. But it’s all done and I’m glad I did it. I actually got to make some cards and used my scraps. They look nice and clean, all organized. How cool is that?
